The people behind Santa Barbara Permitting & Planning.
Santa Barbara Permitting & Planning is a multidisciplinary team focused on one thing: owning the entire pre-construction process from feasibility to approval.
Founder & President
Tristan Cravens founded Santa Barbara Permitting to redefine how permitting gets done in Southern California. Known for his ability to untangle complex cases and build clear permitting strategies, Tristan has led SBP to become one of the region's most efficient and trusted permitting consultancies. He combines local code expertise with operational precision, aligning his team around one mission: to make the permitting process as seamless, transparent, and predictable as possible.
Project Manager
Born and raised on Long Island and a longtime Santa Barbara local, Greg brings over a decade of management and operational experience to SBP. Before joining, Greg spent nine years with Tesla, playing a key role in expanding operations along the Central Coast. He's known for keeping calm under pressure, sharp organizational instincts, and keeping complex projects moving forward.
Head Drafter
With over seven years of experience in architectural drafting and design, Fadi brings both technical precision and artistic vision to SBP. He leads the drafting team in producing plan sets that are accurate, compliant, and construction-ready — merging classical design principles with modern tools.
Designer / Drafter
A recent college graduate with a passion for design and construction, Nico brings fresh energy and curiosity to the SBP team. Detail-oriented and quick to learn, he's already proving himself as a reliable hand in turning complex projects into clean, buildable drawings.
Growth Marketing Manager
Lucian leads marketing and growth at Santa Barbara Permitting. He manages the company's digital presence including Google Ads, SEO, content, and social media, making sure the right people find SBP when they need it most. Outside of marketing, he keeps the books and wears a few extra hats.
